Resident evil 4 iso crash Patch#
If there is any confusion please let me know and I hope all of you have fun playing RE4 on Steam.Game or Patch Questions? Visit FileForums Hope this has helped anyone who has followed these steps. I do not know what will happen if you start the game then stop the service. Also, whenever you decide to play RE4 check for the service to see if it is on just to be safe.

If you have two screens it shouldn't be so hard but again, if you aren't doing anything else it shouldn't come back on. What I suggest is leaving the Task Manager open so you can check every so often to make sure it isn't turning back on especially if you decide to do other things. I have NEVER had it turn back on when all I am doing is playing RE4. Generally if you restart or shut down you computer and boot back up it will turn itself on as well. Upon occasion going on the internet or opening other applications while running or not running RE4 will sometimes turn this service back on. Here are some things I know might affect it:

If the service is turned back on it will cause the game to crash even if the game is already open when it turns back on. This is from my personal experience that I am telling you these things. I am not completely certain what exactly turns it back on but I do know it does. ***IMPORTANT*** Note that this annoying service likes to turn itself back on. Now your Resident Evil 4 should hopefully no longer be crashing after short periods of game play. Right click it and click "stop" (Note the PID which are the numbers directly to the left of the Service you just stopped have disappeared, this is how you should be able to tell whether or not it is running). (Note that this should also be organized alphabetically)ī. Scroll down until you find "Touch Keyboard and Hand Writing Panel Service" under the Description part of Services. Click on the services tab of the task manager near the top of the task manager window.Ī. Right Click it and click "end task" (note this should also get rid of the "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service - 32 bit" or whatever it is named)ģ. Under the processes tab of task manager scroll down until you see "Touch keyboard and Handwriting Panel" (note that things should be organized alphabetically so this should help narrow things down quicker)Ī. Open Task Manager (You can do this by right clicking the Task bar (which is the bar that should be at the bottom of your desktop screen that has the shortcuts and displays the time) and click Task Manager)Ģ.
